Waiting on Wednesday #10

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. For more information please visit her blog!

Article 5 by Kristen Simmons
Release Date: January 31st 2012
Publisher: Tor Teen
Find it on Goodreads

From Goodreads: "New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., have been abandoned.

The Bill of Rights has been revoked, and replaced with the Moral Statutes.

There are no more police—instead, there are soldiers. There are no more fines for bad behavior—instead, there are arrests, trials, and maybe worse. People who get arrested usually don't come back.

Seventeen-year-old Ember Miller is old enough to remember that things weren’t always this way. Living with her rebellious single mother, it’s hard for her to forget that people weren’t always arrested for reading the wrong books or staying out after dark. It’s hard to forget that life in the United States used to be different.

Ember has perfected the art of keeping a low profile. She knows how to get the things she needs, like food stamps and hand-me-down clothes, and how to pass the random home inspections by the military. Her life is as close to peaceful as circumstances allow.

That is, until her mother is arrested for noncompliance with Article 5 of the Moral Statutes. And one of the arresting officers is none other than Chase Jennings…the only boy Ember has ever loved"

Waiting on Wednesday #9

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. For more information please check out her lovely blog :)

This week I haven't picked a book that is yet to be released. I picked one that I am literally waiting to arrive. Drum roll please!

Fury by Shirley Marr
Release Date: May 1st 2011
Publisher: Black Dog Books
Goodreads | Fishpond

From Goodreads:
"Let me tell you my story.
Not just the facts I know you want to hear.
If I’m going to tell you my story,
I’m telling it my way.

Strap yourself in...

Eliza Boans has everything.
A big house.
A great education.
A bright future.

So why is she sitting in a police station confessing to murder?"

So that pretty much tells you nothing about the story right? Except that she confesses to murder. But I have heard amazing amazing things about this one from fellow blogger's and twitter friends. Shirley Marr is an Aussie author, not only that she is from Perth, my home city!

What are you waiting on this Wednesday?

Happy reading!

Waiting on Wednesday #8

Hi everyone!

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine! This is a chance for book lovers to discuss the books that they can't wait for and to also discover new books that others are waiting on!

This week my waiting on Wednesday pick is...

Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
Publisher: HarperTeen
Release Date: March 6th 2012
Series: Delirium #2
Goodreads | Amazon | Book Depository

"I’m pushing aside the memory of my nightmare,
pushing aside thoughts of Alex,
pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school,
push,
push,
push,
like Raven taught me to do.
The old life is dead.
But the old Lena is dead too.
I buried her.
I left her beyond a fence,
behind a wall of smoke and flame."
The way Delirium ended, OH MY WORD! I seriously cannot wait to read this one!! I tried to do a review of Delirium a while back but I just couldn't find the right words to describe it, so I didn't. But I will let you guys know that I really enjoyed it!!

What is your WoW pick this week? Leave me links so I can comment back!

Happy reading!

Waiting on Wednesday #2 (on Thursday)

Hi everyone!

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking The Spine, for more information on how to participate please visit her page.

This Wednesday I chose;

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
Release Date: September 27th 2011

From Goodreads: "Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
It can.
She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.
There is.
She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.
She's wrong."

I can't wait for this book to FINALLY come out!! Not to long to wait now. I'm sure most YA book bloggers will have heard about this one, if they haven't already read it that is! I have heard amazing things about this one, everyone who has already read it, has said that the less you know about the book prior to reading, the more enjoyable it is. The sooner I get my hands on this book, the better!

What is a book your waiting on this Wednesday??

Happy reading
